The team at Galactic Entertainment thinks big, setting the bar higher every time they take on a new project. Over the last 2 years they’ve provided production for some of the biggest EDM shows to come through Vancouver’s Pacific Coliseum, including Alesso, Tiesto, Insomnia feat. Hardwell and Martin Garrix. Galactic teamed up with PK Sound to deploy the advanced robotic line array Trinity at the Insomnia and Martin Garrix shows, keeping a sold-out audience completely absorbed in powerfully transparent sound and fully connected with the music.

“Working with Trinity was amazing. The sharpness of the active audio zones was perfect. This technology is going to allow for multiple stages to face each other with no sound bleed. This opens the door for promoters to more effectively use venue space, bringing the crowds closer together. We’re very focused on providing amazing experiences like this,” says Jason Christie, owner of Galactic Entertainment.

Galactic Entertainment didn’t come out of the gate doing shows this big, though. They come from humble beginnings, very much like PK Sound. Galactic Entertainment’s founder, Jason Christie, started a mobile DJ service in 2002 and was also the head DJ. He headed a small team that included a single technician who helped with setting up events. Fast forward to 2006, Jason had grown out of the “mobile disc jockey” status and had developed his operation into a bonified event production company that quickly expanded into what it is today.

As with any successful company, Galactic Entertainment puts the customer first. Staying true to that mission, they’ve built up an impressive portfolio of events and dedicated client base.

To meet the demand for high-quality professional audio, Galactic Entertainment has partnered with PK Sound to supply a range of loudspeakers and subwoofers for all production applications. For line array, they offer the versatile VX10 compact line array modules. Their subwoofer selection includes dual 18" CX800 and Klarity single 18” subwoofers. For multipurpose loudspeakers, they carry a plentiful stock of Klarity 8 and Klarity 12 models in their inventory. They will be further adding to their selection of PK Sound loudspeakers for the upcoming busy summer season.

“PK Sound is helping with our growth – people frequently contact us to hear the unique sound of PK loudspeakers. Once they get to our office they see we can help with more than speakers, and they call us again and again,” says Jason.
